The Fellowship of the Dice
Troubleshooting: If cursor bugs and is blocked in-between tiles, bring it back to a corner and it will readjust!
Controls :
-Enter : Confim action/selection / Throw the dice / Stop the dice / Place the dice
-Escape : Cancel Selection
-R : Rotate the dice
-WASD / Arrows : move the cursor
-F : end your turn
This game was created for the Game Maker Tool Kit Game Jam 2022. The theme is "roll the dice".
Inspired by table top RPG, board games, and tactical rpg (where luck and dices are very important), this strategy game is set in a wolrd based on dices.
At the start of each turn, roll the dice. It unfolds and allow you to create the map.
You can know explore the world you created with your units. It's time to dice some demons !

how do you kill things?
Use starting units or additional units that pop when you roll 1, 2 or 3
Am I missing something 4,5,6 doesn't do anything?

They give you more space than 1-2-3, and were supposed to give you useful buildings... that we couldn't code in within 48 hours. Hopefully in an update post-jam!
I really love the gameplay here! It's a super clever concept that reminds me of Dungeon Dice Monsters back in my childhood days. The presentation is slick everything feels really smooth. I'd love some background music and maybe for the slimes to be a bit bigger/more noticeable- it's kind of hard to tell where they are. Great work!

Since this was for a gamejam, we had to cut corners. Music was one of these corners. We will probably release a more polished version when the game jam voting is over.
